The three stooges 31/1/12
Sirs,
Who do the three Point councillors think that they are kidding when they say they are not politically aligned. They would have us believe that they are the three Macsween amigos, when in fact they are the three stooges. Obviously they have little respect for the intelligence of the people of Point.
Why are they pretending to be something that they are not? Councillors Nicolson and Macleod seem to take direction from Mr Macsween. Why are messers Macsween and Macleod not standing for the Labour Party ? Are they not good enough ? or is it that they are not to be trusted ?
When you look at their past record it is worrying They have played their part in a council which has let the people of these islands down badly and ignored their wishes.
Looking at the new school building contract, local builders paying people off, apprentices out of work, compensation for broken contracts, contract tendering issues, leading councillors unable to take part in the fuel debate, working against communities to close schools they have little to be proud of.
The three gentlemen in question openly worked against the people, parents and school board when closing Bayble School Secondary. In fact Donald John Macsween led the campaign to close the secondary despite being well aware of the wishes of the the majority of the people in his ward. Why was he on the radio leading the campaign to close rural secondarys when he had nothing to do with the education committee?
Did this not happen just prior to him being nominated as the Labour Candidate for Westminster? Councillor Macsween is in no position to criticise other politicians or give them advice when he puts his own needs before those whom he represents..
With Cameron and Clegg making savage cuts which are approved by Miliband, the last thing the people of Point need is to have Curly, Larry and Mo as their elected representatives.
