Given the forecasted deterioration in the weather later today, there are changes to the opening hours of a number of GP Practices today.
Group Practice - open, with essential access only after 3pm, practice closed for
walk in, however available via telephone for urgent care.
Langabhat - will close the peripheral sites from 3pm. This affects Borve, Uig, Bernera
and Gravir. Carloway is not open on a Friday. Leurbost will remain open for emergencies
and phones.
South Uist, North Uist, North Harris and Broadbay surgeries are open.
In South Harris there will be telephone access to duty doctor in the afternoon
Benbecula and Barra practices will be restricted in the afternoon - access only via
telephone
The majority of NHS Western Isles services and clinics are running as normal, with
the exception of vaccination drop-in clinics and the early closure of some non-urgent
clinics.
Patients will be contacted directly if your appointment has been cancelled.
If your appointment is going ahead, please make an assessment of travel, journey, distance and weather conditions before travelling. If you consider it is unsafe to travel to your appointment, please contact the clinic as soon as possible and we will reschedule your appointment.
