A Lewis teenager has been ordered to stay out of trouble for six months.

Jack Nelson of 44 Portrona Drive, Stornoway, was charged after harassing two witnesses in a court case.

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard he was released from police custody on the strict condition he would not attempt to intimidate or influence relevant witnesses.

But, by the Bayhead Post Office in Stornoway in March, the 18-year-old approached two people involved in his case.

He was shouting and swearing and making offensive remarks, in an incident motivated by prejudice to sexual identity.

Sherrif David Sutherland ordered Nelson to be of good behaviour.
