A teenager has been tagged and banned from drinking alcohol after she broke bail conditions.

Sally Maclennan, formerly of 4 Bayhead Gardens, Stornoway, was out on bail on the run-up to a trial over police assault and hospital disturbance charges.

The 17-year-old appeared from custody at Stornoway Sheriff Court this week.

She pleaded guilty to breaching a 7pm to 7am bail curfew.

Maclennan was placed on a new curfew for the next six months

It starts from 7.30pm nightly to allow her to catch the last bus from Stornoway to her bail address in Marvig, South Lochs.

Sheriff David Sutherland permitted her release on bail on the strict condition she does not touch any alcohol at all and must provide a breath test when required by a police officer.
