A team of 12 has taken on the Baker Hughes 10k in Aberdeen, raising more than £1,200 for The Leanne Fund which supports cystic fibrosis sufferers and their families across the Highlands and Islands.

The funds raised will be used specifically for the project to introduce Leanne Fund services across the Grampian region, providing vital support for a further 100 individuals affected by the disease.

The charity was set up in 2009 in memory of Leanne Mitchell from Lewis. It funds special treats and a range of support services for affected young people and their families with the aim of "creating happy memories now that can last a lifetime.

Relying entirely on fundraising, sponsors and charitable donations, the Leanne Fund is developing the range of services and experiences offered in response to the needs of patients and their families.
