A man who took two illegal weapons into a Stornoway nightclub has been jailed for six months.
Anthony Stuart Jones who was working on a fabrication contract on the islands previously pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing illegal weapons at Era nightclub.
Jones, whose address was given as 13 Llys Eglwys, School Lane, Greenfields, Holywell, Wales, was arrested on Friday 18 April and held in the cells at Stornoway police station over the long Easter holiday weekend.

Jones also accepted he illegally possessed a metal knuckle duster.
Procurator fiscal David Teale told Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday (Fri) that a nightclub employee spotted Jones hiding something.
Jones had the fake phone to his ear, pretending he was making a call.
But the staff member suspected it was a disguised taser gun and called police.
Lawyer Angus Macdonald pleaded with Sheriff David Sutherland to “find it in his heart” not to imprison Jones.
The solicitor explained Jones’ daughter thought her father was working on an oil rig rather than spending the last fortnight in custody.
Mr Macdonald said Jones was working on Lewis and went into the town of Stornoway to celebrate the end of a contract.
He was with people drinking in Era and went outside for a spell where he saw a youth hiding something behind a wall. He investigated and discovered the weapons, the lawyer told the court.
He “stupidly” put them in his pocket and returned to the nightclub.
Though Jones had a criminal record, his last conviction was in 2002 -
