More than 110,000 people have been carried between Stornoway and Ullapool (in both directions) since the Sunday ferry service began in July 2009.

In its first 12 months, some 6000 cars were shipped across the Minch on the Sabbath.

Over the whole five years, some 33,000 cars have been transported on the Sunday crossing.

The figures represents about 10 per cent of all passengers and cars carried on the Stornoway ferry route in that time.
