A youth ceilidh band grabbed the chance of taking their photo with Prince Charles on his flying visit to the Mòd in Stornoway.

Aberfeldy group, Strung, Drawn & Quartered, wondered what all the fuss was about when they emerged from Stornoway sports centre.

Despite their success at the the Mòd the onslaught of police and bodyguards were not for them, they reckoned.

They stumbled across Prince Charles heading back to his helicopter at the running track and the excited musicians nicely asked if he would pose for a picture.

Band members were over the moon when he asked them for a copy for their CD.

Strung, Drawn & Quartered won the Allan Thomas Mitchell Trophy for the under-19s folk group event at the Royal National Mòd. They were also awarded first prize in their fiddle group category.
