Barra lifeboat went to the aid of a trawler which was taking on water.
A rescue operation was launched after the fishing boat got into trouble in the Minch near Barra.
The local vessel, MFV Laurel, radioed for help in the early hours of Monday.
The lifeboat got a line onboard the Laurel which was around 13 miles east of Castlebay.
She towed the stricken boat to Northbay harbour, arriving around 3am.
