A boat towing another craft encountered trouble off North Uist on Saturday morning.
One person was onboard the four metre long stricken vessel which broke down with engine problems about seven miles off Lochmaddy.
Leverburgh RNLI Lifeboat attended at the scene and towed the two vessels to safety.
