A Stornoway eatery has closed its doors for the second time in two years.
The Lido restaurant in Cromwell Street was titled best new hospitality business in a national competition.
The business closed last week with the owners saying it was not “financially possible” to continue.
They said: “We opened in May 2017 and couldn't be more proud of what we have achieved in the time we've been open. So please understand that this decision doesn't come lightly.
“Thank you to each and every person that has walked through our doors once, twice or ten times. You all helped us grow and continue our business. We can't thank you enough.
“Having a business on the island isn't easy, as many of you know. But we gained a great reputation, built business relationships, employed some fantastic staff and enjoyed every minute of Lido life as we call it.
“We'll never forget the moment we won Best Newcomer at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards in Glasgow and how proud we were of our staff and business.”
The property opened as a restaurant under a different operator in summer 2016 and soon received rave reviews. But it shut three months later.
