Hundreds of properties hit by powercut 4/2/14
Some 900 properties around Stornoway have been affected by a power cut tonight.
The blackout occurred around 8.30pm and hydro engineers are working to restore supplies.
Lights went back on for two thirds of homes about an hour later but were plunged
back into darkness again at 9.45pm.
A spokesman for the utility firm SSE said engineers are working to everyone back
on supply as soon as possible.
