Stornoway Post Office reopens after flood

24 September 2024

Stornoway Post Office is welcoming customers back after a flood forced the premises to shut for a few days.

The problem stemmed from a burst water pipe and the delay to reopening was caused by having to check the electrics within the building.

The Francis Street facility is now up and running again.

We have re-opened our doors today but only have one position operational at the moment.

Please bare with us as we can only accept cash payments as our contactless is not working on our card machine although we are happy to try cash withdrawals but there is no guarantee this will work.

We appreciate your patience at this time.
