Spectacular  motorbike stunts are the star attraction of motorsport events being held next week.

Performances by former world champion motorbike stunt rider, Kevin Carmichael, will be the highlight of two showss jointly organised by Western Isles Classic Car Club and Lewis Car Club.

On Saturday 6 June at the Creed motorsport track next to the CNES recycling plant in Lewis there will be a static car show.

Various motorsport events will also be staged on the track throughout the afternoon.

Then in the evening, a drag race will be held at Stornoway Airport with many car owners from across Scotland have confirmed they will be attending.

The motorshow will be held from 12 noon until 4pm. Attention will then shift to Stornoway Airport where the drag races will be held.

This is the 15th drag event to be held there, with each year drawing more crowds.

Colin ‘The Flying Fifer’ Miller, is returning with his 1400 brake horse power Ford Anglia.

Admission for each event is £5 while under 16’s go free.

Proceeds from the drag race will go to several local charities chosen by airport operator, HIAL, which gives free use of the airport for the event.

Volunteers to help out at both events are always welcome, check out the Lewis Car Club Facebook page and the WICCC forum/ facebook page for more details.
