Her first sailing out of Stornoway is not until after well 10am.

Cal Mac said the vessel will try to make up time throughout the day.

A broken control wire affecting the use of her vehicle ramp hampered the vessel’s operations over past days.

On Monday morning her ramp apparently became stuck half way while attempting to discharge cars at Ullapool.

Broken stern ramp delays ferry for hours

The MV Loch Seaforth's sailings are expected to run up to four hours behind schedule today.

“Essential” repair work was carried out to her faulty stern ramp overnight.

The ferry did not depart Ullapool until after 7am this morning.
