The new Stornoway ferry was stuck in port earlier today after a shellfish creel apparently wrapped around its propellor.

 

The MV Loch Seaforth was out of action on a very busy sailing with hundreds of passengers, including Hebridean Celtic Festival visitors waiting to get across the Minch.

 

Divers are needed to deal with a stray creel believed to be to responsible

 

Her predecessor, MV Isle of Lewis came to the rescue and was drafted in transport passengers on the afternoon and evening return voyages between Stornoway and Ullapool.
