Starting at £8.51 per hour increasing to £8.78
after one year of service

As a Ground Security Operative you’ll be involved in the searching of passengers, their baggage and maintaining security at Stornoway airport.
As a casual Ground Security Operative, you’ll be employed on a casual basis with no guaranteed hours per week, however you will be offered and required to work a minimum of one shift per month in order to maintain competence.
You’ll have previous experience within a customer service environment and an ability to work with integrity and confidentiality. You’ll be trained to conduct body searches as well as searches of hold and cabin baggage.
You’ll patrol internal and external areas as directed therefore an element of outdoor working is applicable to this position. You’ll have a flexible approach to working patterns which includes weekends and unsocial hours.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you effectively communicate with passengers and integrate successfully into the current security team.
