Gales are forecast to hit parts of the Western Isles.
A low pressure system off the north west of Scotland will bring a severe gale to parts of the islands.
Strong gusts can be expected as the wind picks in strength late on Thursday.
Heavy rain is due into early Friday morning, turning to wintry showers in the southern half of the islands.
The more severe conditions are likely in Uist and Barra where conditions may increase to storm force on Sunday with heavy gusts up to 70mph.
