Another wave of bad weather approaches the Western Isles with an intense low weather system moving across Scotland on Christmas Day.
The Met Office has named the incoming depression Storm Conor which is forecast to bring strong winds and squally rain.
Storm force winds are expected to hit the islands at times with some high waves off the west coast of the Southern Isles.
Stormy conditions are set to continue on Boxing Day. At this stage, some ferry sailings are looking doubtful if sea conditions are as bad as forecasted.
Coastal road and causeways may be affected by spray or waves coming over.
