All schools in the Western Isles will be closed to pupils tomorrow (Mon) due to the adverse weather forecasted for the islands. However, staff are expected to attend.
Public bus services are expected to operate during the morning up to around 2pm or 3pm when the storm is due to really sets in.
However these services may be subject to cancellation at short notice.
All public bus services departing after 3pm are expected to be cancelled.
Passengers are advised to contact bus operators directly using the contact phone numbers within the current bus service timetables.
Refuse collection services – the Comhairle plans to deploy additional staff to finish routes early and allow staff to get home early.
Sport centres at Stornoway, Tarbert and Liniclate will close at 2.45pm. Shawbost swimming pool and the 3G pitch will also shut.
All services are subject to further disruption.
