Western Isles ferry services will experience delays and cancellations on Tuesday with 60 to 70 knot winds and rough seas forecast.
Sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool have been cancelled. The MV Loch Seaforth will venture out for the freight service after winds ease on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
The afternoon run is cancelled on the Berneray and Leverburgh route. A decision if the first ferry will operate will be taken after sight of how bad the sea state is in the morning.
Sound of Barra sailings are liable to disruption.

Morning sailings between Skye to Tarbert and return will not operate. However, the gale is due to ease by early evening so the MV Hebrides is to depart Skye at teatime as timetabled.
The Lochmaddy service is expected to run as normal.
