Customer service experts from energy company SSE are running a series of roadshows to highlight the range of schemes available to help those in the Western Isles facing fuel poverty.
A number of schemes are available to help those facing fuel poverty, including the Warm Home Discount, worth £140, and the Priority Assistance Fund; applications for both must be submitted soon.
SSE also operates a priority service register, benefit entitlement checks, and offers advice on energy efficiency and billing.
Louise Bailey, vulnerability strategy manager for SSE, said: “We are delighted to be spending time in the Western Isles.
"This will allow us to spend one to one time with our customers to discuss available help and assistance we provide, in particular, help with paying bills.
“I would encourage SSE customers to attend if they need any help with their account or heating system controls and let our team of experts offer face to face advice.”
