A motorist caught speeding through Achmore village in Lewis has been fined.
Charles Horton of Stornoway pleaded guilty by letter to driving a Honda motorbike at 64mph in a 40mph zone at 11am on 4th June.
Police were carrying out speed checks in the area. Traffic flow was said to be moderate.
He was not offered a fixed penalty at the time.
At Stornoway Sheriff court, he received a £200 fine with three points imposed on his licence.
