Speeding fine

An islander has been fined £300 after he was caught speeding.

Angus Scott of Torinish, Ormiclate, South Uist, also had four points added to his licence.

The 53-year-old pleaded guilty to driving at 70mph in a 50mph zone at Clachan when his case was called at Lochmaddy Sheriff Court.
