A force eight gale is affecting ferry sailings in the southern Minch.

The MV Lord of the Isles is weatherbound in Lochboisdale and did not operate any run to Mallaig.

Saturday afternoon's sailings between Tarbert and Skye are cancelled. The MV Hebridean Isles will remain in Tarbert overnight.

The MV Isle of Arran tied up in Lochmaddy after weather delayed sailings in the morning. Her afternoon timetable is cancelled.

No sailings on the Eriskay crossing operated today and are liable to cancellation or disruption on Sunday.

The Sound of Harris ferry operated her full timetable.

Further disruption is possible on Sunday including the MV Hebrides timetable. Her sailings to Barra and South Uist are liable to delay or cancellation.
