A force eight gale sweeping up the Western Isles is set to affect many exposed areas today.
The bad weather is forecast to move northwards from the afternoon to reach north Harris by tonight.
Wind speeds may reach 50mph in Barra.
The gale is set to miss Lewis though blustery conditions are expected there later.
A band of rain will follow the high winds, continuing into much of Tuesday morning.
