Voting closes today on an election to fill a director’s vacancy on Sealladh na Beinne Mòire (SnBM), the parent company Stòras Uibhist community landlord of South Uist.

Norman MacAskill is seeking re-election together with Dave Adey, Calum Mac Millan, Alistair Nobles and John Daniel Peteranna.

Details of the candidates and their nomination forms are available on Stòras’ website.

Eligible voters have received voting slips in recent days.

The postal election ends at 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday) with SnBM members urged to return ballot papers in time.

The result of the ballot will be announced tomorrow (Thursday).

The organisation’s annual general meeting will be held at Stoneybridge Hall on 19th September.
