Mobile phone operator O2 plans to improve its service in South Uist.
Work to upgrade its Howmore mast is due to start by the end of this month.
Subject to successful implementation and testing, customers in the district will see the new and improved service in the following weeks said O2.
During the work, there may be times when a customer’s signal experiences intermittent service.
