The Lochboisdale leg of the South Uist to Oban route has been cancelled for tomorrow.

 

The MV Isle of Lewis is operating on the run but is too big to navigate in Loch Boisdale.

 

She will berth at Castlebay on the outbound voyage on Tuesday night and not go to South Uist.

 

An additional Sound of Barra service will operate this evening departing Ardmhor at 9pm to transport booked Lochboisdale traffic and passengers north.

 

As a result the 9.25am sailing from Lochboisdale to Oban on Wednesday will not operate.

 

Passengers have have the option of going to Eriskay and catching catching the 8.10am sailing across the Sound of Barra to Ardmhor before heading to Castlebay for the Oban-bound vessel.

 

A bus will meet foot passengers in Ardmhor and take them to Castlebay.

 

The MV Isle of Lewis will depart Castlebay at 10am.
