The MV Lord of the Isles (Loti) is due to return to service on Tuesday.

Thinning steel was discovered on her hull and the vessel was out of action until new plates were installed in drydock in Greenock.

The Lochboisdale - Mallaig / Oban service was cancelled for over week.

Cal Mac say the Loti has been repaired and will berth in Mull overnight. She will carry out a sailing from Oban to Lochboisdale on at 9am on Tuesday.

Ironically, the vessel was off service for an extended refit in December but the thin steel problem was only discovered after she returned.
