Police investigate South Uist roadside death 10/1/12
Police are currently investigating the death of a male pedestrian on the main A865 road at Ardmore in Iochdar, South Uist.
Officers received a call shortly before 10am this morning that a 49-
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.
The road is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for some time. Diversions are currently in place.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area between late afternoon yesterday (Monday) and 09.47am this morning and may have seen a man walking in the area.
He is described as wearing black trousers, a grey speckled, woollen jumper.
He is approximately 5ft 7in, of stocky build and had dark, greying hair.
