South Uist landowner, Stòras Uibhist, has appointed a new chief executive.
Dr Fraser Quin is presently the chief executive of the Eric Liddell Centre in Edinburgh, a charity working in the dementia care sector.
He has a PhD in environmental economics from Edinburgh University and has been a senior lecturer in the Scottish Agriculture College.
The 51-
Dr Quin formally takes up the post in July.
The role became vacant after Huw Francis resigned after nine years in the role.
