Social Services Council event

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is hosting an one-day event in Stornoway to raise awareness of the organisation's role with social service workers, employers, training providers, people who use services and their carers.

The SSSC is the regulatory body for social service workers in Scotland.

Social workers, workers in care homes, nurseries and similar employees have to register with the body.

The event gives people a chance to find out about registration of social service workers, training and education standards, your professional development and what happens when workers fall below the standards of practice and conduct.

The event takes place in Bayhead Bridge Centre from 10am to 3pm on Thursday.
