Stornoway and Benbecula airports were shut due to snow this morning.
Further snowfall hampered the clearing of runways, delaying passengers for hours.
The mail plane to Benbecula was disrupted as a result.
The flight from Edinburgh was later cancelled after the plane diverted to Glasgow airport
Passengers were delayed by up to five hours.
