Collecting and harvesting of shellfish from three island sealochs is allowed to recommence after a toxins levels returned to within safe limits.

High amounts of marine biotoxin were discovered in East Loch Tarbert, Loch Stockinish and Loch Seaforth four weeks ago.

Each area has been tested weekly since then.

The latest samples show that high levels have decreased so the warning against eating shellfish from these lochs has now been lifted.
