Potentially hazardous levels of shellfish toxins hav ebeen found in three sealochs in Lewis and Harris.
People are warned that eating shellfish such as cockles, mussels or razor fish from Loch Seaforth, East Loch Tarbert and Loch Stockinish may pose a health risk.
Commercial shellfish harvesters in these areas have been contacted by the Comhairle and steps taken to postpone harvesting until algae levels subside.
