A North Uist fishing boat started taking on water after being holed.
The emergency services were alerted to the incident involving the FV Alison on Friday.
The fire service attended the shellfish vessel alongside in Lochmaddy.
The fire engine's pumps were not required as the boat's own pumps coped with the level of seawater coming in.
Temporary repairs were made to the vessel in the harbour.
