A woman was seriously injured when her car was hit by an overseas visitor driving on the wrong side of the road.
Philippe Berger, of Dardilly, France, caused the crash when he drove in the face of oncoming traffic between Marybank and Leurbost on Lewis in August.
Berger was convicted of the offence at Stornoway Sheriff Court. He received a 12 month driving ban and a £600 fine.
