Sir,

So, once again this council takes it upon itself to dictate the closure of another, and the last of the rural secondary schools on the island.

And I say the word dictate, as that is just what it is. According to Mr Campbell, we do not listen to the noise round things' ie. we do not listen to the people we are meant to represent.

Nothing new there. They never listen and never will, and so the dictatorship of the Western Isles Council steamrollers on, ignoring the views of the very communities that they in theory, should listen to.

These communities are the lifeblood of the island Mr Campbell, and the schools at the very heart of them, you remove the hearts, and through time, the communities will disappear and die.

But then again, in voting to close, you wouldn't know what a heart is.
