The Stornoway mart held its Christmas Show this month, during the last sale of the season.
First prize for Bullocks went to Alex Ferguson, North Street; with K MacKinnon from Callanish awarded second place and third going to DA MacKenzie from Parkend.
Heifers first prize was again scooped by Alex Ferguson, North Street; with I Maclean, 100 Cross Skigersta Road taking second place.
A Ferguson also took the Supreme Champion prize and Reserve Champion was awarded to K MacLennan from Callanish.
The champion pen of lambs was awarded to H Leach, 7 North Bragar, for a pen of 54kg Suffolk cross lambs realising £85.
And reserve champion pen of lambs was taken by N MacLeod, 7 Fleming Place, for 52.5kg Cheviot lambs selling at £70 gross.
New season lambs (14) averaged 148p and sold to 157.5 per kg and £85 gross for a pen the champion pen of lambs from 7 North Bragar.
Other leading prices for new season lambs were: BF – 18 Habost, Ness, £60, 146.3p; Cross – 30 Balallan, Lochs, £55, 142.9p.
Best prices -
Prime bullocks (9) sold to 530p per kg for a 555kg Limousin cross, from 3 North Street, Sandwick; and £2,941.50 gross for the same animal.
Prime heifers (4) sold to 220p per kg for a 505kg Limousin Cross from 3 North Street; and £1,134 gross for a 630kg Charolais Cross from 100 Cross Skigersta Road, Port of Ness.
