Hebridean Way Route Development Officer
Outer Hebrides Tourism
£27k pro rata (3 days/week), fixed term contract for 2 years
Do you have a passion for the outdoors, and
- Know about the Hebridean Way and other long-
distance walking or cycling routes?
- Have experience of developing such routes and guides for users, especially in remote areas?
- Skilled in ICT, responding to customer feedback, and working in partnership with others to get things done?
- Understand CDM regulations, funding schemes for distance routes, the Outdoor Access Code and what makes a Great Trail in Scotland?
You might be the person that Outer Hebrides Tourism are looking for to develop and improve the Hebridean Way walking and cycling routes to ensure the best possible visitor experience.
Funded by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Natural Heritage, the post will focus on the development of the infrastructure, information materials and online presence relating to the Hebridean Way Walking and Cycling routes.
The post holder will also be involved in the establishment of the Outer Hebrides Countryside Trust.
Location – Outer Hebrides, exact location to be agreed with the successful applicant.
