The MV Clansman is covering the Oban - Barra ferry service at present after the regular vessel broke down.

The MV Isle of Lewis is out of action after developing a main engine fault shortly after leaving Castlebay this morning. She completed the majority of her voyage on reduced speed.

The Clansman has been drafted in to provide a service.

It means Monday afternoon's outbound sailing is running late with a 4.30pm departure from Oban. She will depart Castlebay at 8am as normal on Tuesday.

The knock-on effect results in disruption and cancellations on the Clansman's own runs.
