The issue of religious observance in the Stornoway Primary is to be discussed at tonight’s parent council meeting.

The school recently dropped saying the Lord’s Prayer and grace is no longer said at lunchtime it is understood.

Many parents did not appear to be aware that the primary school had ditched the practice.

The reasons for the changes which were introduced at the start of this term are unclear.
