The Education Department is seeking to add to its list of persons who are willing to provide auxiliary support in schools throughout Uist & Barra for children with special needs during periods of absence of regular post holders.

 

Duties vary depending on the needs of the children involved but could include: assisting pupils with mobility, with eating and with toileting; assisting in the management of children with behaviour difficulties. Some lifting may be required.

 

Experience of children, as a parent or in a voluntary/professional capacity, is essential.
