Passenger grabbed steering wheel of moving bus     15/2/13

A man who endangered passengers by grabbing the steering wheel of a moving bus has banned from drinking alcohol for two years.

Ian Wilson Paul of 10 Eireastadh, Uig, Lewis, also received a 24 month community payback order and must undertake 180 hours of unpaid community work as well as undergo alcohol abuse treatment.

The 58-year-old previously pleaded guilty to seizing the steering wheel while it was being driven at the Carishader Bridge on 19 October.

He also admitted assaulting and injuring a male by punching him to the head at the same location.
