Receptionist
Dark Island Hotel
Isle of Benbecula
Western Isles
Overall Purpose:
To provide a professional, efficient and effective 'front of house' service to the
customers and staff using the Dark Island Hotel, reporting to the Hotel Manager,
and in liaison with all other staff and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- To operate established systems and procedures and to action any issues requiring
attention or report accordingly to senior management.
- To contribute to the development and improvement of systems and procedures, in liaison
with the 'front of house' team and with the approval of management.
- To ensure the efficient and effective running of the front of house area at all times.
- To liaise with team members at the start of shift and agree action points as necessary
ensuring accuracy of information.
- To check guests arrivals and departures, prepare invoices and payments.
- Print out a guest list report for the ‘Fire document folder.’
- To respond to telephone calls, e-mails (e.g. copy invoice requests, room availability,
menu price lists, conference facility requests etc) in a timely and professional
manner.
- To deal with guest requests and complaints effectively and professionally by providing
a quality customer service experience.
