Hebrides News

Sir,

In my most recent correspondence, can I assure Mr John Cormack of the Scottish Christian Party (SCP) that I did not have him, or indeed his party, within my firing range. My political sniping was solely against, as I mentioned, the ‘main parties’ and not the SCP who have not, as yet, reached this league of prominence. Our hope is that it will, and very soon.

He will be greatly encouraged to hear that he has, without reservation, my full support and I sincerely hope that the people of the Western Isles will elect him as their next MP in Parliament.

It is on record, for everyone to see, that none of the other standing parties on the island have a Christian agenda nor are they remotely committed to upholding the spiritual values which once made this nation great. The only party with a Christian agenda is the SCP and what a great privilege it is for islanders to vote in Mr John Cormack at the ballot box on Thursday 7 May.

Across society we are reaping the devastating, and tragic, consequences, having turned our backs on all that is spiritual, and God honouring, and embraced a godless secular agenda. The SCP highlight this in their own Declaration of British Values document, when they rightly state: “The secular agenda has clearly created the problems in our society which everyone can see, and it will only become worse unless we rise up together to recover the Christian values that made Britain great….other political parties seem to embrace this secular agenda.”

Yes, there is no doubt that the shameless passing of all the ungodly and unbiblical laws, which are as numerous as the MP’s who enact them, are mocking British values. This must not be allowed to continue. This country needs a distinctly Christian voice not only in Parliament but also within the corridors of the Scottish Parliament as well. We desperately need to recover our Christian heritage, for the good of Britain, for the good of Scotland and for the good of the Western Isles. This is now an opportunity for islanders to vote in a man who has the credentials, vision and passion to see this nation recover its identity as a Christian nation.

And just in case you thought that the SCP were not Eurosceptic, I have good news for you – they are. Mr Cormack (Letter 28 April) knows and acknowledges how ridiculous it is what the EC are doing with our laws and with our money, which it syphons away in billions: ‘The SCP recognise the absurdity of 75% of our laws being made in Brussels and the lunacy whereby vast sums of money are handed over to a body who have failed for years to get their accounts verified by auditors.”

It is no wonder that the 2015 Declaration of British Values, drawn up by the Christian Party, has also been signed by…wait for it…candidates from UKIP.

Reasons for voting SCP at the ballot box in the Western Isles on 7 May are as clear as day.
