Passing mariners were puzzled when the Stornoway ferry MV Isle of Lewis flew what
seemed to be an unusual signal flag while crossing the Minch.
On closer inspection, the blue and white colours on the main mast emerged to be the
Rangers FC flag - apparently hoisted by a prankster on the Tuesday afternoon sailing.
Cal Mac say it was put up by an unknown passenger and the crew were unaware of its
presence.
The ferry company is “taking steps to ensure it can't happen again.”
