Over £1,500 was raised for the Leanne Fund at its first Rainbow Raiser event.

Participants were encouraged to wear their brightest clothes for a day to raise funds the charity which helps people affected by cystic fibrosis.

Schools and nurseries across the Highlands and Islands and Grampian took part, including the Stornoway Primary, Laxdale Primary, Sgoil an Rubha, Tong Primary and Point Parent Toddler Group.

Chrisetta Mitchell, development manager of the organisation hoped it would become an annual event.

The Leanne Fund was set up in 2009 in memory of Leanne Mitchell from Point, Lewis.

The charity funds special treats and a range of support services for young people affected by cystic fibrosis and their families with the aim to create happy memories which can last a lifetime.
