Downpours are forecast for the Western Isles from Wednesday night until Friday, said the Met Office.
Persistent rain will turn heavy on Wednesday night and continue through much of Thursday.
There remains uncertainty regarding how long the heavy rain will last into Friday.
Occasional strong winds are also predicted for the Hebrides from Thursday. The winds should start to ease on Saturday night.
